Here is a picture I took yesterday of one of the Komatsu excavators sitting in the middle of the road . You can see my lawn and that it won’t be long before they start in digging up all my shrubs, the fence, the trees, sidewalk, driveway , our front porch , etc. LOL !! Well, I am overreacting a little , ha,ha.
I have always kept my front lawn very neat, I sometimes mow my lawn 3 times a week. I like it to look like a golf coarse green.
The house we used to own downstate , we had over one acre of grass. I bought a set of five gang reel mowers. I had the JD 850 tractor with turf tires then. I built grass catchers for the back and it worked excellent. Now that was great fun mowing the lawn . Each pass was 12 feet wide, but I had to mow in several directions to get it to look perfect, ha,ha.
The picture below this one is from yesterday and shows Deb and the daycare kids out front on the sidewalk watching the machinery across the street.
CAT NO. 16 GRADER PROGRESS- I am working on the engine and should get it done this afternoon. Next I will work on the rims .
HI WIND WARNING FOR GAYLORD TODAY- The weatherman said we could get 70 mph damaging winds tonight.
TONY BENNETT- Nicole took Bill to a Tony Bennett concert for his Birthday two nights ago. They said it was excellent , they said he really puts on a great concert.
SPILT COFFEE STORY- Deb and I were sitting eating at a drive-in resturaunt the other day and the car in front of us was leaving . The driver had placed a large open thermos of coffee on the roof . I got the carhops attention and she rushed over to tell them . The driver quickly reached up and grabbed the thermos from the drivers seat and spilt it all over the roof and the windshield. After pulling the thermos inside the car, he turned on the wipers and drove away with coffee spraying everywhere. Deb and I looked at each other and couldn’t help but shake our heads and smile.
FIFTH CAMPING TRIP- If the storm passes by tomorrow afternoon we will fire up the motorhome for the fifth weekend and head out for the next fun weekend of roughing it in the great Northern Michigan outdoors. (:>). So far we have adapted well , but one night we had trouble with the micro-wave and another night we had to switch the air-conditioner in the motorhome from low all the way to the High mode, so we do know what roughing it is like, LOL !!
BIG SCREEN TV UPDATE- Deb and I checked into repairing it and got a couple professional opions and after we called a family meeting we unanamously voted NO to putting 3 to 4 hundred dollars into a 15 year old big screen TV.
Have a nice Thurs.
