Coal Mining – Todays picture shows me sading some of the welded joints on the rear counterweight I just finished building.
Vicker Vane Pump for Waldon Loader- I got the seal this morning for the hydraulic pump and reassembled it and put it back on the machine , reconnected all the hydraulic hoses and filled the hydraulic fluid tank back up full . Fired up the Waldon and everything worked fine but after close inspection the pump was still dripping hydraulic fluid. After calling a hydraulic pump and cylinder repair shop in Petosky he said they sold me a low pressure seal . So I drained the tank, removed the hoses , unbolted the pump , pulled the bearing and shaft out of the pump , then pulled the seal out and now i am back to square one again, ha,ha.
At least I am getting to know more about pumps and such lol.
Tomorrow we’ll head to Petosky and get some expert advice .
3G for Gaylord – Today we saw one worker up on the tower and three vehicles parked down below . so they are still working away . The people at the store said by the end of this month it should be done or they are quitting their jobs. They have been chewed out by so many people over the last 2.5 years they said they can’t take it anymore.
