Komatsu Mining Equipment – Today is the first progress picture I have posted of the 1/12th scale Komatsu pc-8000-6 Mining Mass Excavator Project. You cans see the cab roughed in on the left, the sides of the bucket shape, the boom and the stick sides cut out , the two track frames , bogie wheels and chain well along and you can see me in the background as i cut out the openings with the plasma cutter for the engine cooling screens in the side walls of the revolving house. Also you can see the steel tubes cut for the hydraulic cylinders. And last you can see the front and rear wall of the main structure so I now have a pretty good start. I hope to get the four walls welded together by tomorrow night and then I will begin welding the boom and stick parts together.
