SUPER DOZER- Here is another cool picture Larry sent me last week of him taking a short break in the West Virginia Coal Mines. It would be quite a thrill to feel that kind of power under you pushing that kind of a load with that monster blade. Larry said he always took lots of pictures as he loves the big machines too.
Along with Larry’s help , I want to thank James and Kevin Kenny for sending me info on the Super Dozer a while back.
I also want to thank all of you who continue to try to help me with info on many future projects.
FIVE INCHES OF NEW SNOW THIS MORNING- I was up at 3:00 a.m. today because I knew before we went to bed last night we had received 3 inches of snow. We only got 2 more inches overnight , but 5 inches was perfect for plowing. Many other areas got a beautiful 8 to 12 inches. We weren’t that lucky. I get the same amount of money for all my customers if we get 4inches or 20 inches. It’s just fun to run the big blower once or twice a year with a really nice amount of snow over 10inches.
KOMATSU SUPER DOZER- I will work on the second track frame this afternoon.
NEW CRAFTSMAN AIR COMPRESSOR- I have a 5 hp, 60 gallon air compressor , but don’t use it during the winter months. My small under the bench compressor quit on me today. So I just got back from Sears and bought a new 1.5 hp compressor for under the workbench. I have had very good luck with Craftsman tools over the years so we’ll see how this little one works out .
MACKINAW PASTIES- Deb and I rode up to Mackinaw yesterday and ate at our favorite Pasty Place. A pasty is like a meat pie with a very thin crunchy crust. umm, good! On the way home the weather turned real bad, white out conditions , and heavy snow squalls but we had a fun afternoon and made it home safe.
