Letourneau Progress- My morning started out cleaning the workshop . Once a month I vacuum the floor and clean all 6 workbenches .
It limits the dangers of sparks flying onto something that might ignite from grinding or welding or plasma cutting. I try to keep any paper or rags in the one corner by the TV furthest away from my welding , plasma cutting table and my grinding area.
Once I got that done I removed the windshield from the mini John Deere cab and painted the frame black. Then I took my plasma cutter and cut open one of the top hood screens on the mini jd so I can fill it with gas easier . I made a duplicate screen to fit over the opening and painted it. Then I decided to assemble the Letourneau Dozer model. I put together the front axle and wheels , then the blade frame and the blade .
This is the closest it has been to being completed yet. Tomorrow I may get back to it and remove the cab and do some detailing in the cab and put the cab windows in it. I still have more detailing to do on the lights too. So it is getting close to being done by the end of the year.
I could even bring the parts back out to the shop this week for the Cat offroad truck.
The all terrain Grove crane and the 8 wheeled Melroe Dozer is next and then the Fiat-Allis 41B Dozer. I do have these projects already scaled up in advance.
Waldon Wheel Loader- Snow in the forecast for us this week so I will be excited to try out the Waldon Loader with the new throttle cable and choke cable and new clean carburaetor and the new clean air cleaner assembly. I have had a lot of fun playing in the snow with that and it should be even more fun now it is running great.
Have a great Monday
