Liebherr R9800 Mass Excavator Parts For Boom and Bucket being built by Don Campbell from Gaylord, Michigan .

Liebherr Boom , second section – Today’s picture shows the second side of the boom , Stick , bucket and cylinders . Now these parts will be set aside and I will move to the main structure that the boom attaches too. I am very happy how these first parts turned out. There is still a lot more to do on those parts , but the overall rough shape is made.
BERLIET 700 OILFIELD TRUCK- I was so excited to get both sides of the boom roughed in this week, I had a hard time getting back to Kevin’s Truck model to do the final assembly . He won’t pick it up until August at the National Truck and Construction Toy Show in Indy .
Today I am not going to do anything else until Kevin’s truck is done .
SIX INCH SNOWSTORM FOR GAYLORD – Tonight and tomorrow we have six inches of snow heading our direction. So I could get one more snowplowing in before I send out this months snowplow bills.
DEB’S NEW BABY – The little baby boy Ryan is now fun to see everyday. Yesterday I was holding him and he was all smiles and it really has been making me think if maybe Deb and I should have another baby ??
It would be fun to get Nicole a brother or sister, LOLH
I haven’t talked it over with Deb yet though (:<). I guess that is something I better include her in. ha,ha,ha,.
GAYLORD MEIJERS STORE- Just a couple more weeks our new Meijers Store opens in Gaylord. They have great produce and meat so we are excited to shop there. We have always shopped at Glen’s Market in Gaylord, but the people are rude that work there. They don’t even smile at us in that store and we have been great customers for many years. Not sure if the Meijers workers will be friendly either, but it will be nice to have one more option to shop at.
MAPLE SYRUP – This time of year always reminds us of our fun times at the Shephard Maple Syrup Festival . We had fun there for many years while Nicole was growing up and it was always the first festival we would go too.
MOREL MUSHROOMS – Where to find them near Gaylord ?
This time of year we always start to think of Morel Mushrooms !!, UMM Every year we get several quarts of the early dark Morels . They are so much better than the later white ones.
But they are not as plentiful. We never go to get the white ones , I am spoiled on the dark ones. Breaded with fresh cracker crums and deep fried to a golden brown , UMM SO DELICIOUS !!
We always go to the exact same spot and we usually spend the same amount of time to get that many quarts. So I guess over the years we have got a pretty good system worked out . (:>). People often ask us where we get them , and most people go to the Pigeon River NE of Gaylord , but we go the opposite way . We go SW of Gaylord about 20 miles West, 2 miles south , then the two track road back in about a quarter mile . Red flags mark our heaviest picking spots where we find 40 or fifty in a 20 foot circle. Walking up to the top of the hill you can see several more small red flags that mark our other guaranteed smaller hot spots. We put a sign on a tree by the road to help us find it every year. The sign says ( The Campbells best morel mushroom picking spots turn here and look for red flags ) LOL
Just kidding !!, That is a NO, NO , Nobody tells anybody their secret mushroom picking spots. (:>).
HAVE A GREAT SATURDAY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
