Liebherr T-282B like the one Don Campbell is now building in 1/12th scale.

Liebherr T-282B Mining Truck- Todays picture shows the real Haul Truck like the one of a kind model I am now building. Today I am still working on the front and should get all the front stairs, railings , top railings and front bumper roughed in by tonight. Tomorrow I will start cutting out the parts for the four round air cleaner housings that mount 2 on each side just below the top floor. It still hasn’t taken any shape yet, but if all goes as planned , I will have the front all done, the cab and all the electrical boxes by Friday afternoon. Once all those parts are assembled ,the front of the monster truck should look pretty good .
RUNNING IN THE RAIN – This morning Deb and I headed out to run in the light rain. No thunder or lightning or we would not have gone. But it was nice , today starts our third week and our knees are a little sore today probably because of the high humidity. We still have plenty of aches and pains like three weeks ago, but the difference is now we are making progress in the right direction and the pains will eventually go away as we get lighter.
BLT’s for lunch – Deb cooked up some bacon today for lunch and we both had a BLT , yum ! We had it on whole grain bread, double tomatoes, double lettuce and just ( one ) piece of bacon. But it still really hit the spot. A half a glass of milk and for dessert a granola bar with some natural peanut butter spread on top, umm !
NEW CARS and TRUCKS- Deb and I rode through the car dealerships in Gaylord last night and saw about a dozen old clunkers sitting in the back row . We knew they were clunkers because they all had ( Cash for Clunkers ) ( Govt. owned ) written across their windshields . But the prices they got on these new vehicles is just crazy ! Not sure cash for clunkers is the answer.
It is a well known fact American cars are now foriegn cars with American names at a higher price. Busted !!
One thing is for sure, it has been a great summer and regardless of what this winter brings, it has been great!!
Deb and I continue to enjoy each day to it’s fullest and try to see the positive.
Have a great Monday !!
