Mack Offroad Dumptruck – Todays picture I took a couple weeks ago as we stopped on our return trip from D.C. and Southern Va. to a friends house. As he and I walked around the property enjoying all the machines I noticed one of the old Mack Offroad bottom dump trucks I got to drive and haul dirt with a couple years ago. Sitting near the Mack Truck was also the old Koehring 1066E Excavator I also got to operate at the same time. This was the very first excavator i ever got to operate and although I did terrible digging with it, it was the greatest experience. . (:>)
GP-40 Diesel Locomotive Progress- I ordered the steel for the train model on Thurs. but it did not arrive yesterday as planned. I had enough steel to work on the cab walls . I now have much of the nose welded together and working on all the radiuses for a nice rounded edges on the hood. Deb , Nicole and I now have our new favorite model and it is going to be this train (:>). Really, we all like it already and it doesn’t even look like a train yet, ha,ha.
I think most people like trains and have some memories as a child of playing with a train or riding on a train in a zoo or park with your kids. We are the same as we have several memories with Nicole riding miniature trains and a couple full sized trains.
Fall leaves – It was another beautiful fall Sat. and I took advantage of it putting things away for the summer and vacuuming the next round of leaves in the lawn. We had three hard frosts this week and it is really bringing the leaves down. We need one windy day and they will be pretty much down in our yard.
Angry Birds App- Deb and I both finished all the Angry Birds App on our i-phone yesterday . YIPPEE !
