Manitowoc Crane- Before next years Cleveland DHS Diecast open house I will be building my first Manitowoc Crane. Todays picture shows Tony this week at Lampson’s Crane yard next to this monster 14000 crane. Very Cool !
Hitachi EX-8000 Progress- I now have all six hydraulic cylinders roughed in for the boom and stick. Tomorrow I will work more on the clam bucket parts.
FUN SICK DAY – It was a sunny cold morning and perfect weather for a nice ride in the car. We not only called in sick, we also skipped exercise class today, (:>). We BAD, ha,ha.
Runners World – Today I rested from running but tomorrow is the day I been working for . You see it was 25 years ago I quit running because of the tragedy with my sister jogging. At that time I had jogged 60 days in a row. Tomorrow will be 60 days of me running in the last 66 days since I ran my first 5K. So it will be a proud day for me at my age to think I still have a little energy left in me. (:>). Even though I had a few rest days it is still cool to think I ran 60 days in just 66 days.
Running isn’t easy at any age, so I have been careful not to overdo it. So many people injure themselves by running too far. So far running everyday just 5K at a slow pace has been excellent for me.
I read so much people all think they got to run 8 or 10 or 15 even 26 miles and they blow out their knees and are done the rest of their lives. My little 5K runs are pretty small , but to me I am very proud of myself and I doubt I will ever run more than a 5K . But I would like to actually win a 5K someday and not just come in second place like I did on my first race.
So if nothing else I will continue to train to be a great 5K runner and not worry about running long distances. That is a perfect little goal for a senior citizen like me. (:>).
CHRISTMAS SHOPPING- Deb and I had fun Christmas shopping today and we got a lot done. We try to get 98% done before Thanksgiving to avoid the crowed malls and hectic parking lots.
SESAME CHICKEN AND BROCOLLI- My favorite meal at the mall is sesame chicken and brocolli. I have now increased the brocolli and decreased the chicken to control the calories but it is still a great meal.
