Here is a different view of the monster dragline that Deb and I got to spend time in as it worked away in the Penn. Coal mine. You can see from this angle the view we had from inside the cab looking down in the hole. You can’t see the bottom of the hole , but it was a long ways to the bottom.
This was another very cool afternoon for me and I’m sure Deb has fond memories of being inside the gigantic , noisy, grinding, crunching, squeeking, hammering, swiveling cab thinking at any minute the whole machine was going to fall over into the pit. ha,ha.
The reason she thought that, was the guys said it did happen one time and one of them did actually have the bank give way and the dragline crashed into the pit.
GAYLORD ALPINE VILLAGE – snow condittions are still bad, we now have temps below 20 and the ground it hard this morning. So if it stays cold and we do get a storm on Mon. it might be enough for me to ride my Ski-Doo again . Deb and I are going to goof off today , we’ll see how many snowmobilers are around .
Acco Grader- Mon. I will start the final assembly and get the cab finished.
Beauty and the Beast- I worked on the design for this big Heavy Hauler rig yesterday and got most of the design for it ready to go.
Have a nice Sat.
