This unique looking machine is another one the Lampson Co. uses to push heavy loads along with the Beauty and the Beast Trucks. This machine was built by C.F. & I Engineering of Denver Colorado as a rubber tired dozer in 1970. Since then the ( Innovative Mining & Equipment , Inc. of Gillette, Wyoming has rebuilt it and boosted the power to twin 425hp engines. It has a straight frame and each power plant is used for each side to steer the massive machine. Today it looks like there is no longer brackets for the front blade. It is a very cool looking machine and a possible model to build down the road.
GAYLORD SNOWFALL – It continues to snow here in the Alpine Village on the 45th parallel , and as I got up this morning the wind blew and caused some drifiting. Most of the area schools were closed. I took the truck out and checked the driveways and only found two that had drifted almost shut. So I plowed them and headed back home. It has been lightly snowing much of the morning today and if it keeps up I could plow later today or in the morning again. We still have single digits with below zero wind chills.
HENDRICKSON , Beauty and the Beast Truck model – I got the truck weights done and will post the next picture tomorrow. Now I have to build the cab mounting brackets and get the cab attached to the frame before I can do the final design of the front hood and radiator grille. I will work on that later this afternoon if I don’t have to go plow snow.
SUPERBOWL MONDAY – To recap SUPERBOWL SUNDAY , On a scale of one to ten , the game, the commercials and me eating my favorite junk food , I gave it a 8 .
So it was a fun day ! As I said , I was up early and as soon as I got back from plowing those two driveways, I hopped on the treadmill for 45 minutes and began working off my favorite junk food, LOL !
Have a nice Mon.
