Well, Here is the next one of a kind machine that rolled off the Don Campbell Workbench. Sometimes I look at all the models I have made on my webpage and it’s just hard to imagine myself. I think, when in the heck did I find the time to do all those models, ha,ha. But the real secret is, when you truely love what you are doing, it is not work at all. It is very rare I do not really enjoy going out to my mini workshop to make my mini-machines. I am proof anyone can make models with limited tools and make them in a VERY SMALL space. My actual walking space is about 5 feet by about 7 feet long. I have three workbenches around me and the fourth wall has the welder and belt sander . My two drill presses are on one of the benches. I have two vises on one bench and a hand shear on one of them. My metal knotcher is on a stand below the bench. I wonder if someday I could get in the Guiennis book of world records for building the most , hand built , one of a kind , all steel models in the smallest workshop, ha,ha. Deb and I have talked several times about building a new workshop and tearing this one down. I think I would miss my junky little shed. It’s small and cozy and easy to heat all winter. Maybe someday I will have a new one built, but for now I enjoy my little mini shop. The picture above shows the rubber tired dozer completed. I try to get plenty of detail in each model and I am happy with the final look of this one.
