Mining Industry News- Mining Shovel production has been good for Don Campbell so far this 2009 season. With one Liebherr R9800 Mass Excavator completed in the shop and this O&K RH-400 front shovel now half built he is keeping busy . After this model is completed the next monster model to be built will be a monster Mining Haul Truck to match these shovels.
IT’S FRIDAY , YIPPEE !! – We got a 70 degree day and it’s sunny and it feels great !! , plus it’s FRIDAY , a double YIPPEE !!!!!!!!
SLEEPING IN STARTING NEXT WEEK- Deb goes to her summer hours on Monday and we are going to start sleeping in (:>), we get up now everyday at 5:00am but those days are over ? Once Deb starts her new summer hours on Monday we are going to be lazy and sleep in until 6:00am and not walk til 7:00am !
I know that is not healthy to get too much sleep, but after all these are our Golden Years , (:>).
Mackinaw Island – Nicole and Bill will be coming home this summer and one our planned activities is to go to Mackinaw Island. We will do the tourist thing and rent bikes, go for a horsy ride and buy fudge (:>). We have been to Mackinaw Island about 25 times and we always have new memories and laughs . We were going to eat at the Grand Hotel for lunch , but it is $40.00 each for the lunch buffet.
I figure with the limited calories we can have, we would only eat $5.00 each worth of food so we will do that another time.
St. Ignace Car Show- It is hard to believe just a few more weeks is the largest car show in Michigan again up at St. Ignace , Michigan. We always cruise up there in the Corvette but I probably could drive up my 1996 GMC Z-71 Pickup with 20,000 miles. More people would enjoy seeing that one owner low mileage truck than the Vette. (:>).
Morel Mushrooms Make me Sick- I have slowly tried to work away at eating the 7 bags of morel mushrooms in our freezer. But I still have several bags left and I am getting sick of them. I better wait a while before I eat anymore. (:<).
SIXTY-FIVE PERCENT DROP – I read yesterday that the Great Lakes Shipping Season tonnage reports have now put this years cargo down by 65% over last season at this time.
