Soo Locks- Todays picture is one Deb took of me on Monday as i sat watching another Great Lakes Frieghter enter the Soo Locks upbound in the St. Mary’s River . This is truely one of my most relaxing places to go . The peaceful atmosphere of these ships practically gliding down the river. It is still hard to believe Deb and i spent nearly a week on the Paul R. Tregurtha . We always look for it to go through the locks and we did see it Sunday evening. We saw the Captain walk out and wave to everyone and that brought back fun memories of us getting to know him and joking with him all week. It is rare for me to sit still even when i am in pain. But the Soo Locks is one place Deb knows i do unwind and forget the long list of projects i have to work on at the Soo Locks Campground.
Cat D-11R Dozer- I worked yesterday on the right side blade support beam . I got the angle cylinder brackets and the spill guard built and welded on and mounted the first angle cylinder for the first time and am very happy how it looks.
Hot summer mornings – I am limited to my shop work in the mornings when all the neighbors have their windows open and everyone is sleeping in enjoying the summer. I don’t want to get any complaints so i am very careful not to make any shop noise til after lunch.
Have a great Thurs. !!
