Morel Mushrooms 2010 – Todays picture shows about 4 quarts of fresh picked early morel mushrooms . With frost still hitting Northern Michigan and dry conditions and the loggers cutting more and more mushrooming woods every year, we were very pleased to get this batch . You can see the scales with six mushrooms in it being weighed for the freezer . Deb carefully flash freezes them and then packages them up and places them neatly in the freezer for those special nights over the next six months .
I’m not feeling very well at the moment , I think it could be because there were five plates of mushrooms and after me nibbling on them there are only four left , ha,ha. This is the only time I feel sick and enjoy it very much, ha,ha.
P&H 5700 – I worked today cutting out the first parts for the tracks , I hope by this weekend to see the first set of tracks mounted .
