Richie takes delivery of his one of a kind 1/12th scale Cat 966C Loader that Northern Michigan artist Don Campbell made for him out of steel.

Richie from N.Y.C.- Todays picture shows Richie standing next to me with his latest one of a kind model I built him. Richie owns his own business and has several pieces of medium sized equipment.
He said he does not just sit behind the desk all day instead he is at the controls of one of his dozers working long days most of the time.
Deb and I always enjoy visiting with Richie at the toy shows.
Richie’s next order will be a Manitowoc 3900 crawler crane . This will be my first ever crane project so it will be very exciting to build it.
It will be closer to 1/16th scale and Richie ordered a six foot boom for it.
Liebherr Truck – Today I got the front steering axle and the rear axle attached to the frame . Now I am designing the front grille . It’s going to be a neat looking model after looking over all the pictures .
TRAINING – Deb and I were out walking/running again this morning . It was perfect cool weather for it. My legs are feeling the pain now after 9 days of it. I am trying to follow the training program so I won’t injure my knees . So far I am a little ahead of the program.
I figure two more weeks and 10 more lb weight loss I should be really able to kick it up and start to run some good distances. I’m just doing 4 block runs and 2 minute walks in between for one hour .
I really am feeling good already. Deb is going slower but I am very proud of her to be trying to run for the very first time. First we go to eat what runners eat, then we got to shed some weight , then we will be hitting the race circuit with Nicole and Bill. We talked to a neighbor down the street who has been running for two years and he is my age and he said he never ran before in his life until two years ago.
He said he told his son he was going to train to run in a race and his son said , (That is impossible , no way could you ever do that )
That day he started to walk and run off and on and he lost fifty lbs. and now runs several races each year. He said it is addictive .
Training again is bringing back memories to me now of running 5 miles a day many years ago. I really think I can do this !! What a awesome day it is going to be in D.C. with Nicole and Bill in 6 weeks to do what I wanted to do 25 years ago but never did.
But today I am just grateful God has given Deb and I another great day together.
Have a great Tues. with the ones you love.
