Soo Locks- Deb and I had a fun weekend watching a nice parade and the Candian and the American Fireworks. The weather was perfect , we cooked up steaks on the grill last night and did 100% on our weightwatchers program. Deb and I got up every morning and got our running and walking done first, then we would head out on a couple bicycle rides each day and usually a couple evening walks through the Soo Locks Campground. We ate plenty of fruit , lots of Deb’s homeade salsa with low calorie baked scoops and a few baked chicken wings.
We have really started to slow down and enjoy the camping experience this last year . We used to get up to the campground and go, go, go . But now we just are pretty content around the close area of the Soo. We saw plenty of ships pass by and we were going to go ride the Soo Locks Tour Boats but didn’t . That is still fun to do each summer one time too. Less than two weeks til race day for me so i really got to eat healthy more than ever (:>).
Todays picture I took as we ate our lunch in our motorhome just before we headed south to Mackinaw City. We got to the Mackinaw Bridge and there was a two mile traffic backup at the toll booths but it went pretty fast. Mackinaw City was hopping with no parking anywhere in the whole town . We did find a spot for the motorhome and we stopped and bought our first baby outfit for Nicole’s new baby. We don’t know yet if it’s a boy or girl so we got neutral colors. But it is still hard to believe Nicole is finally going to have a baby. (:>) fun, fun !! for us !!
Tomorrow I will head back to the workshop and get going on the last few parts.
Hope you all had a nice , safe holiday
