Soo Locks Ship Parade Labor Day Weekend .

Busy day at the Soo Locks- It was the busiest day today at the Soo Locks ever. With two days of high winds on the great lakes most of the Great Lakes Frieghters must have anchored in the rivers and stayed at ports. Because from early this morning until after supper tonight there was a constant line of ships waiting to go through the Soo Locks. I never remember this many boats in a 12 hour period.
But i’m not complaing as it was fun seeing the locks so busy.
The wind stopped and the rain stopped today and we enjoyed steaks on the campfire tonight and toasted marshmallows for smores. The furnace kicked on last night a few times as the cold Canadian air kept things chilly outside.
Deb and I been enjoying our I-phones playing Angry Birds games.
Mackinaw Bridge Walk- Tomorrow thousands of people will be walking the annual bridge walk but not us. Most of them don’t do much walking but we do everyday in peace and quiet. We did do the bridge walk a few times but it is so crowded it was not that fun.
Todays picture I took from the top of the ladder on the back of the motorhome by the Locks of the Canadian Coast Guard Boat as it passed through the locks.
It’s going to be another cold night camping and I’m sure the furnace will be kicking on again.
Hope your all having a great last weekend of summer.
