My daughter Nicole sent us this picture of Terak this morning as Bill had to go to the area Dealership for a mower part. Terak was all smiles and I’m sure Bill was too. Something about tractors puts smiles on most little boys and a lot of big boys faces too. Something so simple as going for a small part but getting the feel of being at a real JD dealership with daddy will stay in Terak’s memory when he grows up.
This dealership is also where we bought Bill’s lawn tractor last spring. It was very exciting to see Bill get a brand new John Deere.
Cold Start in Gaylord
Yesterday it got up to 40 degrees but in the back shed it felt like 20 degrees. I decided to try to start some of the tractors. First I started the All-Wheel Steer 455 Diesel and it struggled to go but finally, it took off and ran great. Next I hopped on the mini 4020 diesel and it fired right up right away. Next, I hopped on the Wheelhorse and it would not start. I think the battery was just not cranking it over fast enough. Then I hopped on the Cub Cadet and it fired right up so I figured that was good. Three out of four isn’t bad. I have 7 tractors in the back shed. With a few warm days, the back shed floor is starting to flood. Now it refroze and is ice again. It usually takes about a week for the frost to thaw and let the water drain so that isn’t too bad.
Have a great Sat.
