The 45th Alpenfest on the 45th parallel is done for another year.

Five Fun Nights at 2009 Apenfest – Here is a picture of me standing on the Alpenstrause the last night of Alpenfest . Deb and I went down to the entertainment stage all five nights . Last night I think we had to break a record for the coldest Alpenfest in many years. People had winter coats on plus blankets . Not really ice cream weather , but our friend who owns the Chocolate Haus brings Deb and I a free treat from his store every night as he and his fiance, Barb joined us all five nights on the bleachers. . Last night brought us ice cream cones , ha,ha. One other night he brought us ice cream cones and he dropped mine on the way and had to go back and get another one. So that was very nice of him. Bruce is the one we spent a week on the great lakes ship with going from Detroit to Duluth and back.
But we were happy to eat the free ice cream regardless of the snowflakes we thought we saw falling, LOL
3 MILE WALK THIS MORNING – As Deb and I walked through town this morning and saw everything was gone and the only signs of a festival were some stains on the pavement where the concession stands stood all week. We walked by our spot where we sat for the last five nights and the bleachers we sat on each night were gone and we looked up at the tree branches we sat under watching the
bees working above us. I couldn’t help feel a little sadness knowing summer is really winding down now and thoughts of school will soon be back on the minds of parents and children.
As I get older I am thankful for each new day I am given to enjoy with Deb and thankful I got to have another fun Alpenfest with Deb and many local friends. God does not always give us warnings it is our last day , so we got to be sure we enjoy each day we do get.
Model Progress- Today I assembled more parts on the RH-400 Model and tomorrow I will work more on it.
Have a Great Sunday with the ones you love .
