Sonic Burgers – This picture Deb took of me one day for lunch in my folks big Cadillac as Deb and I decided to try lunch one day at Sonic in Florida. The concept was very nice, the girls had roller skates and that was pretty cool and it all brought back memories of years ago. We really like a good burger and fries once in a while and were hoping to get just that.
But unfortunately it was not our lucky day at our first ever Sonic Drive-In. The fries were cold and soggy and the burger was nasty and not fresh tasting . We had talked to Nicole a couple years ago and her friend said Sonic was great in the D.C. area. So for two years we have driven by Sonic drive-ins all over the countryside and never stopped. Finally we did stop and it just didn’t hit the spot at all.
But it was fun to finally stop and try it . We did eat at Steak and Shake several times in Florida for lunch and 4 out of the five times we had burgers and fries they were excellent. Just the last time we got soggy fries and hard crusty hot dogs that had been reheated a couple times. But we don’t ever complain , we just never come back after a bad experience. After all how hard is it to serve fresh french fries and a fresh grilled hot dog, duh ! ha,ha.
Hey Deb !, What’s for Supper ? Tonight we had homeade raised crust pizza with bacon , ham, mushrooms, onions, olives and two kinds of cheese, yum !! The bad news is we’re counting calories and we only got one piece, (:<). The rest went in the freezer for another day.
Cat 797F Final Assembly – Today I got the rest of the truck parts assembled. I still got to paint the red and the black sections for the decal backgrounds this weekend.
P&H 5700 XPA MINING SHOVEL MODEL- I have been working away scaling up the drawing and I almost got the whole house, and the boom done . I have used 100 sheets of paper so far so I am realizing now it really is going to be almost the size of the Silver Spade model. (:>). It is a real BEAST ! It did not get known as the worlds largest 2 crawler mining shovel for nothing, ha,ha.
