1/8 scale working trains – Train mountain and junction valley railroad inspired me to build my first toy train. As the left side gets close to being roughed in now I wished I had built it large enough for me to fit inside it. Maybe when I was younger I could squeeze in it but now with this more mature , elderly body it would be a tight fit, ha,ha.
Todays picture shows the left side tanks sanded and primed. The rear truck is just being held up temporarily . You can see me at the front of the toy holding the second set of trucks under construction now. A few more days I will have the second outside truck detail roughed in . There is still 30 or forty parts left to go on each truck with the brake shoe parts, etc, but this gives a good idea of the rough look.
Eight to Ten inches of snow – We had snow, then two days of rain and now it’s below freezing again and 8-10 inches of new snow in the forecast , yippee !
Dec. 1st – We can officially begin the final countdown to Christmas morning . Our neighbor puts out her digital lighted sign in her yard on Dec. 1st so Deb and I can look out the window every morning and see how many days we have left. At our age we can’t do the math anymore, LOL
Have a great Wed.
