Articulating Mini Tractors – Todays progress picture on the 1/2 scale JD you can see the rear fenders on, the exhaust stack and the vertical air cleaner stack attached. Also the cab side and right side cab framework started. Still hard to see a JD yet in it but once the hood is removed and a new one is designed with a nice smooth curve along the top and a longer nose it will start to get that JD look a little bit. Because I do plan on using it to plow snow on a regular basis and the fact I can’t fit inside a half scale cab I will have to modify the cab rear wall and the cab roof to easily be removed during working plow days . I am doing this to keep a more realistic looking half scale view .
I don’t like little tractors with huge cabs .
Even my jd 455 has a huge cab and looks kinda goofy. But on those 10 below zero days in a blizzard the goofy looking cab works awesome, ha, ha
Anyway now you can see my progress so far.
Next Gaylord Snowstorm on its way – Looks like another snow event heading our way for the weekend with 5 to 8 inches of snow . Our winter total snowfall so far is 142 inches and 8 more would put us at 150 inches. That is pretty average for our mild winters the last ten years.
Steel Run – I ordered 5 full sheets of steel yesterday and it could come in this afternoon . If so I will head over and get it all sheared up.
Have a great Tues.
