Fathers Day Present- This picture is from this morning as we checked out after a fun night in Traverse City with Deb , myself and Nicole , compliments of Nicole.
While Bill was probably sleeping out under the stars in the wilderness with his brothers getting eaten by mosquitos , we were enjoying one of the nicest rooms at the Cherry Tree Inn overlooking the Bay.
Todays picture shows Nicole and I standing near the sign that says 98.00 summer special, ha,ha. but not if you want a deluxe room overlooking the bay and a jacuzzi and all the other extras , ha,ha. Nicole spared no expense to make some fun summer memories in Traverse City last night giving me a great Fathers Day Present.
Then today we drove north along the shoreline stopping at Farm Markets along the way and stopping to check the cherry trees. With the cold spring the cherries are two weeks behind schedule.
That means that the National Cherry Festival in Traverse City might not have any fresh northern cherries at the festival this year.
The owner of one of the area cherry orchards said they may have to buy southern Michigan Cherries for the festival and sell theirs to the canneries this year. We saw very few red cherries on any of the cherry orchards today. Most of them were still green.
The picture below this one is from this morning at the famers market enjoying the day with Nicole.
