Customized 1959 VW Truck- Todays picture shows the next stage of the mini VW truck process . I got the body work all done and hauled it over to my brother in laws to get some bluse paint on it. It still doesn’t look cute yet and i was excited to do the final assembly.
This was another one of my fun shop projects I did when we lived in Alma, Michigan. Some people like everything kept stock, but I always liked things out of the ordinary. Many years ago i saw a picture of a shortened red 1960 VW truck and I just loved how it looked. I never knew at the time I would ever find a VW truck , but it was sitting in a garage not being driven. I paid $500.00 for it and drove it home with no plates at all. Deb thought I was a little strange wanting to cut it in half , but after showing her the picture, she thought it was cute too.
Hey Deb !!, What’s for lunch ??- A steak, mushroom, pepper, onion and cheese sub, yum !!
SIX mile walk- Deb and I walked 3 miles last night and 3 miles this morning outside and it seemed so nice. !! This is really helping us not have cabin fever.
SNOW , SNOW, SNOW – Nicole and Bill are preparing for the next big storm in D.C. They could get over 15 to 20 inches this weekend.
Gaylord Snowfall- Our snowfall totals are now over 80 inches behind a year ago at this time.
Cat Truck Model- Taking a break from the workshop to spend time with my folks.
