Vickers Vane Pump leaking – Well yesterday I decided to go ahead and take apart the Waldon 4100 to try to stop the hydraulic fluid drip I have had since I bought the machines a few years ago. I always just put a small bucket under it when it was parked. The other Waldon also had a leak since i bought it and I fixed that leak a couple weeks ago. Last night I drained the fluid and unhooked the hydraulic lines and then I unbolted the two pump bolts . I was not sure if there was a coupler or not holding the shaft . Luckily there was not and the pump came right out. After inspecting the rear seal it was real worn . So I got a rear seal coming tomorrow and i will see if that stops the leak. Otherwise I will have to rear down the whole pump and do a complete seal kit. That would be a big job. We’ll see tomorrow afternoon if the rear seal stops the drip.
Komatsu progress – Today i will start the design for the rear counterweight.
3G for Gaylord – Still no 3G for us but we drive by the tower everyday on our way to get the mail. They are working on the control boxes so that is a good sign.
Have a great Monday
