MORE SNOW – We got over 3 more inches since I plowed yesterday morning. It’s lightly snowing now with 4 inches in the forecast for tonight. So it is looking real good for me to get to play in the tractor again tomorrow morning.
On snow days, I usually get up about 4:30 am , then I go out and hand shovel the whole driveway . I walk on the treadmill every morning, so that is still exercise but a nice break from the treadmill. Then I pull my truck out of my back shed and drive about a mile to the shed where the tractor is and start it up and let it warm up. I usually hand shovel in front of the doors so I can pull it all back with the tractor once I pull it out. I make about four reverse passes pulling the snow in the reverse snowscoop position. It holds a lot of snow with those wings. Powdery snow will pile up to the top of the hood , so it really works great. . Then I pull my truck inside the shed and close things up and then I crank up the radio and adjust the heater and off I go to work, well, off I go to play, ha,ha.
I’m sure people driving by my house think I am nuts. I have the big tractor, the walk behind snowblower and the truck with a plow and I am out hand shoveling my driveway everytime it snows.
Not only is it good for me health wise , it is very peaceful watching the snow fall .
I guess people probably think I’m a little nuts anyway , a guy my age making toys everyday , ha,ha.
I am getting real close now to going for the first test ride on the Ski-Doo. I got to remember to go slower this year as not to hit a tree and wreck my sled and almost wreck me like I did last year , ha,ha. I did learn my lesson, I never hit 80mph after that.
Cat D-9G Engine – This picture shows the first side of the engine roughed in. I am working on the second side now and should get it done by tomorrow morning .
