LeTourneau 1000 Loader

LeTourneau 1000 Loader

The computer was down most of the day on Sunday so we had to survive without it.
Here is a cool picture Darrell sent of of cool old LeTourneau 1000 Loader . He said it is on the list for dismantling . I’m sure it got quite a workout over the years . I like loaders a lot, the new ones and the old ones. I’m sure in the years to come, I will build more older LeTourneau loaders into one of a kind models.
Gaylord weather- 38 degrees on Sunday afternoon. Felt like spring as I hand washed the Cadillac and the truck in the driveway. I also got half of the roof of the house shoveled. With the warm temps the deep snow on the roofs gets very heavy. Mon. after lunch I will shovel the shed roof and the back half of the house roof.
We went to Traverse City on Sunday to find that Northwest Dragline , but it was not at the location we thought it was at so I was unable to take more pics of one.
Acco 33 foot blade , 12 wheeled , double articulating grader model- Thurs. I will get started on that one of a kind model. I am working on the first design pics of it now on the computer. This is another machine I have drooled over for the last couple years to make a cool detailed model of. It will be great fun to get started on it.
I figure it should be done the first or second week in Jan. depending on how much snowplowing I have to do and on how much I play hooky with Deb, Nicole and Bill seeing they all have several days off over Christmas week.
Bill’s hunting progress- Bill has got five deer so far and he is still going to hunt more when he gets back home after the Holidays . They will sure have plenty of meat to eat for the next year, especially considering Nicole won’t eat any of it. Bill’s family loves venison and they have eaten it their whole life. I’m not too keen on it , but they love hunting and being in the woods, so we are fine with it. Everything about Bill is the outdoors and everything about Nicole is the malls , but they have a great repect for each others hobbies. You would think Nicole would spend a lot at the malls , but I’ll have to say Bill does a good job spending about the same on hunting type accessories.
Komatsu 575 Super Dozer- If I do not get the info I need for the NW dragline , then I will get going next on the Monster 575 Super Dozer. That is another machine I have also drooled over ever since we saw two of them in person and got to climb on them and watch one of them busy at work in the mines.
Have a nice Sunday with the ones you love
