Liebherr R9800 Excavator Progress- Todays picture shows me working on the rear curved portion of the Excavator . Also you can see the rear ladder roughed in and some of the top outside railings.
Monday I will get going on the top sheet metal and should get the design for the cab parts started.
Deer/ Icebreaker Mishap – I read yesterday that the Ice Breaker Mackinaw had to shut down power while breaking ice in the St. Mary’s River near the rock cut as one of four deer ran in front of the ship and broke through the ice. After three unsuccessful attempts, the deer kept breaking through each time he got up on the thin ice again. Just as the Capatain thought they were going over it , they saw it running on the ice in front of them , and this time it was safe on the other side and all four deer were safe. Those crazy deer are even hitting people on bicycles these days , ha,ha.
Sat Morning in Gaylord- It’s snowy and cold and three more days of snow next week. The local paper said we have only got 183 inches of snow now , so we might not make it to 200 inches after all.
Meijers Store Grand Opening in Gaylord- Two weeks from today Deb and I will be checking out the new Gaylord Meijers Store . Pretty sad to think us old people get so excited about a new grocery store opening , ha,ha.
John Deere Tractor- Yesterday we got 4 inches of wet snow but the sun came out and started melting the driveways so I did not get the tractor out in the salt. But I did see quite a few people plowing yesterday . Spring snowplowing is when the lawns get the most damage. In fact, I damaged my lawn yesterday just shoveling my driveway with the shovel, ha,ha.
CORVETTE – I’m counting the days next week hoping the weatherman is going to say the warm weather is here after these next few days of snow. Now that it is April i really want to start driving the Vette again. Maybe by next weekend.(:>) . I have never driven it even in the rain, so I sure don’t want any salt on it.
Truck Snowplow – I did not even use the plow one time this winter on my truck . I get so spoiled using the 84″ snowblower that the plow seems so crude. Being able to put the snow in any direction with the touch of a lever is very handy. Besides that heavy wet snow is hard on the truck .
DEB IS OFFICIALLY ON VACATION – Deb has all next week to relax and get a nice break from the kids. She plans to sleep in everyday til 6:00 am , we both usually get up at 5:00am everyday . So I will sleep in too as not to wake her.
HAVE A GREAT SATURDAY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
