2009 MOREL MUSHROOM FESTIVAL IN NORTHERN MICHIGAN – Living in Gaylord now for over 25 years has some special memories for Don and Debbie Campbell from Gaylord. Every spring they have looked forward to getting a few quarts of Morel Mushrooms. This year was no exception regardless of the cold nights that we are still having with last week one morning in the low 20’s. Next week we will get more nights in the low 30’s , not good for mushrooms. But this is plenty for us for this year as we will prepare them for the freezer. In fact , it is probably too many and we will probably throw some of them away, ha,ha, NOT REALLY !!
