Wine Making – Todays picture is from our visit a few days ago to the grape vineyards north of Traverse City at Blackstar Vineyards. It was cold and the worker told us he was worried about the grapes freezing before they reached their desired sweetness. We watched them squeeze grapes and thought it looked like fun, but we didn’t want to get our feet all messy helping them stomp them, ha,ha.
This was the first time we timed it to see many of the grapes still on the vines . They also have some great tasting cheese, yum !
RAINY MORNING – It poured all morning and I almost did my run today on the treadmill. But I held off and ran my 5K at 1:00 this afternoon. So I was happy I got it done outside. Just nine days to go to my goal of 50 (:>).
AREA SCHOOLS CLOSED- Several schools are closed because of large numbers of kids with the flu.

RIMPULL COAL HAULER – I finished roughing in the two trailers today and tomorrow I will work on the cab interior and then build the rest of the wheel inserts . So by Friday night it should be roughed in.
Monday I will work on the body work and get it painted later in the week. I will also get the Hitachi Shovel Drawings scaled up next week and should get the first parts cut out for that next week.
