First big Snowstorm for Otsego County – We got a little over 12 inches of snow so far and they are saying lake effect should kick in next. ( IT’S BEGINNING TO LOOK A LOT LIKE CHRISTMAS ) I did the serious snow moving today with the John Deere and the 84″ snowblower, but later as it kept snowing I pulled out one of the Waldons to play in the driveway. There is a layer of ice under the snow and I drove down a bank and hit a ice spot and could not get back up the hill. So my faithful wife and best friend came to my rescue when she backed up the family truckster , hooked up a chain and gave me a good yank !!, ha,ha. I found out today the mini Waldon loader is just a toy when it comes to plowing snow with ice underneath it. But I still am having fun with it as it brings back memories when I was young and plowed snow with no cab. Today is was 20 degrees and 25 mile per hour winds and I still had fun on it. Someday I still may cut them Waldons up to build half scale working 4×4 articulating tractors. But this winter this winter I will enjoy them just as they are (:>).
Hey Deb !!, Can we stop at the new bakery today ?? A new bakery opened up a couple weeks ago and it has been so busy by the time we stop after lunch the shelves are about bare. So today we went to get the mail and see people plowing snow and we decided to try the bakery. Sure enough, 12 inches of snow stopped most people and we saw full display cases of all kinds of donuts and cookies and pastries. YUM !! We each got two donuts and a cookie and felt alot of guilt later in the day after we woofed them down. (:>). But that was fun too ! The simple things in life .
COMPUTER BLUE SCREEN OF DEATH – A week ago my desktop computer puked and got the blue screen of death . We got a call today from the computer doctor they revived it so we went and got it.
Hitachi Track progress- Tonight I made a little more progress on the second track frame and should get the tracks on it tomorrow and get started on the center frame parts that connects them together.
JINGLE BELL 10k THIS WEEKEND -Nicole and Bill and their friend Trina are running this weekend in D.C. in the Jingle Bell run Hopefully the weather will not be too wintery like. We are so proud of them.
