Gaylord Resident Don Campbell Sanding P&H 5700 Model Video .

Primer and Sanding P&H 5700 Model – Today’s picture shows me in 88 degree weather sanding on the primer on the revolving house of the 5700 Excavator model. I thought it was too hot to weld and decided to do something cooler, ha,ha.

I got the bottom of this part of the model all closed in yesterday and did the body work and sprayed it with primer. The video shows me lightly scuffing the primer with very fine sandpaper. I also did bodywork on the overhead gantry and got it primed and part of the tracks.
I still have to build the teeth for the dipper bucket yet but thought I better get some of the bodywork done and some of the parts primed. I hope to have all the parts made , all the welds ground and smoothed and all the parts primed and painted by next weekend.
Hot Weather in Northern Michigan – Last summer we used our air conditioner one day , but this year so far we have already used it 2 days!! That is crazy because I think we have to use it a third day (:>)
It is rare to have it in the 90’s in Northern Michigan with the cool breezes off the Great Lakes.
Another early morning exercise plan this morning while it was a little cooler . This could be the temps on race day morning for me so I need to be prepared. The odds are stacked against me because of my age and my fat little body and the fact I haven’t jogged in 25 years. But I am still going to give it a shot and know it is still better than not doing nothing.
Weightwatcher Favorites- Homemade Salsa is what I eat the most of each week . Deb uses 8 whole tomatoes , 4 whole onions and a whole green pepper then we add three cups of store bought spicy salsa and mix with it . It is very thick , very healthy , very low cal and low sodium.
We buy the baked scoops chips that are very low calorie too. I pile the scoops high with salsa for a very filling snack a couple times a day .yum
Weightwatchers Cookies- Deb also makes homemade oatmeal, walnut, banana, raisin cookies and I get two of them each day and they are very filling and healthy. Deb also makes homemade coleslaw and cabbage soup that is just great. Grilled skinless boneless chicken thighs are delicious even cold with grilled onions. Deb also bakes two dozen chicken wings a week in the oven and they are a easy finger food and low in points when just eating three a day. I have lost over 20 lbs and am feeling much better and still enjoying the eating experience, ha,ha.
Deb and I are professional eaters and have been for many years (:>)
We know eating should not be fun and if it is we probably aren’t eating healthy. Hopefully this is the time we try again and are successful. Weightwatchers has been around forever and maybe it really works as we will find out in the next few months.
Traverse City Cherry Festival- Things are hot in Traverse City this week and hopefully next week we will have great weather for our own Alpenfest in Gaylord.
Have a great Wed. !! and a great SUMMER !!
