Cat 657E Scraper- Todays picture shows me checking over the next progress on the 6 foot long Cat Scraper. You can see the rear frame is now welded on, the rear fenders, radiator housing , exhaust and air cleaner pipes, rear push bumper, steps and some safety railings. As always it is far from perfect as i am no engineer or mechanic and my shop is small and my tools are crude. But if the machine looks like the real one even a little bit i am usualy pleased. So far i think it is starting to look like the real one a little bit.
I have always loved big scrapers so to see this monster scraper taking shape on my workbench is awesome. I still get very excited seeing my hundreds of flat pieces of steel turn into very cool looking shapes.
Scalloped Potatoes and ham and fresh dinner rolls. – Deb is making scalloped potatoes with ham and fresh dinner rolls , YUM !! Very bad choices for a runner though, ha,ha. It’s a cold rainy day and it all smells so good throughout the house when Deb is cooking .
Nicole’s baby Progress- Nicole has been working on building her own project. She is 6 months into the project and she is having to make a few adjustments but for the most part her little boy named Terak is doing just fine. He is now the size of a eggplant and he is kicking Nicole says.
We are doing facetime and skype with her on our i-phone and computer so we can see her and talk to her at the same time.
Soon we will head to see her and Bill for her baby shower.
We think she may only have one child because she was a only child and she turned out perfect (:>). So I’m sure she is going to want to repeat that same process, ha,ha.
Motorhome Winterizing – It’s almost time to drain the water lines in the motorhome for the winter. We had another fun summer in it and will put it in storage until spring soon.
ATV PUG 4X4- I test drove a old fashioned articulating 4X4 vehicle called a Pug. It had been sitting inside a shed for 7 years and it only had 400 miles on it. The price was a little steep and decided if it is still for sale in the spring i could maybe get it a lot cheaper. Mostly buying it to cut it up for the drivetrain and steering system. If you remember correctly that is why I bought the 2 Waldons ?? ha,ha. Still haven’t been able to take the torch to them, ha,ha.
GP-40-2 Diesel Locomotive Model in 1/4 scale – The train will be 32 inches wide at the main frame and the cab overhang and the side tanks will extend out a little wider but will be assembled outside during final assembly.
Have a great Thurs. !!
