Train Truck Parts being built by Don Campbell

Todays picture shows one of two of the wheel assemblies I am now working on. I have most of the parts built but I am still waiting for the steel store to get my eight 1/4 inch thick wheel rings and eight 1/4 thick inch circles . Once I get them I can start welding the axles and all the parts together . I was hoping to get the wheel assemblies built this week but no such luck . It’s very rare I have to wait for steel to be cut as I normally do all the parts building myself. But in this case my tools cannot cut 1/4 inch thick steel and I cannot roll 1/4 inch thick steel. Hopefully I will get the parts tomorrow.
FIVE inch snowfall overnight – This morning I plowed snow for the fifth time in Jan. The wind blew too so there were some areas I plowed with 6 or 7 inches. The snowblower handled it with no problem.
Used Compact Loader- I also got to play out back on my used compact front end loader . I am really enjoying playing in the backyard and don’t mind if the grass will green up slower in the spring. At my age I may not get to even see the grass get green, ha,ha.
Gaylord Snowmobile trails 2011- After I spent the morning moving snow and shoveling the walks and back patio I decided to head out on the Ski-Doo for a ride . The 20 acre field behind me had no tracks so I was the first to ride on the fresh snow and it was fun. I also headed down the trail and it was better than it has been so far.
New Years Resolution failure – As much as Deb and I want to diet this time of year, it is just difficult. It is just a yearly cycle we go through and we will slowly get the weight off as spring gets closer.
Homeade Pizza – Deb made a cherry pie and a homeade pizza, yum ! I requested both items, ha,ha. And Deb was kind enough to make them regardless we are supposed to be dieting .
Have a great Tues.
