Chessie Train Wheels bolted to frame – Todays picture show the wheel trucks bolted to the frame for the first time. This is the first time the weight of the train has sat on the wheels .
Now I have begun cutting out the first 32 brake pad parts . It will take me a few days to complete the brake pad parts and assemble them and attach them. It will take over 150 parts on the brakes.
It seems so good to finally have the thick wheels and axles all welded together and in place. My goal was to get them assembled and on the train by this weekend.
Cold and Snow – Another snowy day and very cold temps for Northern Michigan . We are pretty used to it but we see all the snow and cold in other areas people are not used too. They got to hate it.
Superbowl Sunday – Deb and I bought a bunch of goodies today for tomorrows SuperBowl Sunday . We are excited to watch the Packers play the Bears. We decided to make tomorrow Superbowl Sunday because just in case the Packers journey ends tomorrow it will be like our Superbowl (:>).
Gaylord Snowmobile trails – Finally I’ll have to say the Otsego County Snowmobile Trails are in good shape. As the snow piles up it is making conditions much better. Plenty of snowmobilers in Gaylord today.
Have a great Sat.
