SuperDozer Progress- If you have been following the progress on the Superdozer , I am explaining each day what I am building. I just finished roughing in the engine hood and all the parts on top of it. The next step on the model is to make the shape of the large curved plate on each side of the frame that hooks to a large round tube of steel in front of the radiator and both side frames attach to that tube. If all goes well , by tonight I should have them cut out, drilled , the pins installed and attach them to the frame. I like how most of the model looks except the cab. That is just the walls sitting together on the floor of the dozer. Next week I will get back to the cab and start getting it more detailed. If you are following my daily explanations of the model building, it is kind a like putting a puzzle together. All the parts have to fit together and look right when it is done. The trick is I am making every part of the puzzle with a lot of guessing, ha,ha.
Larry’s pictures have been a great help as I needed to see more detail without the blade on it. Thanks again Larry.
Larry E-mailed me today and said he is very excited to see the first pics. Seeing all the time he spent on a real one, his opinion will mean a lot when it is completed.
TWELVE DEGREES THIS MORNING- It was a little nippy here this morning , but the sun is shining. I would rather have a cold sunny day than a warmer cloudy day. I love it when the suns shines.
KOMATSU PAINT PICKUP AT THE DEALERSHIP- Tomorrow Deb and I will head to Traverse City to pick up the paint for the Super Dozer. I would also like to get to the John Deere Dealer to get a quart of yellow paint for my real tractor. I need to sand and touch up the rims from the winter salt. HAVE A NICE FRIDAY !!
