Erskine Snowblower ready for another winter.

84″ Snowblower- 11 years old and still looks pretty good . No one else in Otsego County has a 11 year old commercial snowblower with this little rust on it, ha,ha. The salt they use in and around Gaylord is crazy !! So it takes a toll on the equipment driving around in it. I have always made a point of scraping and repainting any spots that start to rust . At $5,000.00 plus for a replacement one it has paid off to take care of it. It does have a couple whoops marks in it but for the most part it still looks pretty good mounted on the back of my shiny 11 year old John Deere , ha,ha. Replacement cost for that tractor with attachments is now over 50 thousand so it has also paid off to keep it in good condition over the years. So this picture shows me pulling the blower out of summer storage with the Waldon mini loader and preparing to check it all over for any new rust and get it ready for that first big snowstorm.
The little loader lifted the blower with no problem but it did make the front tires squat and the rear of the machine felt pretty light, ha,ha.
Cat 994F Loader- Before I do any more model building I have two weeks of tasks to do around the house preparing for the cold 6 months of winter ahead.
Have a great Tues.
