Field of Dreams SOLD- Today we heard on the news that in Iowa , north of Dyersville where they filmed the movie Field of Dreams the oners of the property have sold it. We drove to Dyersville for 8 years to set up at the National Farm Toy Show . We would always arrive two days early and head to Waterloo first to go tour the John Deere Assembly Plant. Another frequent stop was to drive out north of town and walk around the field of dreams property . We actually got to know the fellow who planted the corn for the movie around the field . We even visited his house to see his amazing toy collection. The strange thing was two seperate farmers owned the land and the boundry line was down the center of the ball field. Each year we stopped their a feud became worse and worse. Each wanting more of the share of profits . Seems the Field of Dreams was a Field of Nightmares. Hopefully the new owners bought both sides of the field, ha,ha.
Central Michigan Beet Harvest- Todays picture shows tractors and beet equipment near St. Louis , Michigan sliding around the corner in the mud. I was surprised they were even harvesting in all that mud.
Kardashian Divorce- What a great business deal she had to work out a free 2 million dollar fantasy wedding and then make 18 million in profits from it . Too bad about the husband , but to her it seems now it was all business.
