33 years ago today Deb and I hopped in my 4×4 Chevy short box truck with the lift kit and 33 inch monster mudder tires and headed to the hospital in one of our worst snowstorms in Alma in many years. Schools were closed for 3 days in a row and the high winds kept blowing the roads shut. Even the snowplow was stuck on our road. Our road was so drifted shut that the day we brought Nicole home we actually drove in the middle of the farmers field . Deb was sure glad I invested in that lift kit and those big tires, ha,ha.
We remember looking out the hospital window in Alma as the wind blew hour after hour and you could hardly see anything. So it was a bad day for Deb to decide to have a baby for sure, tee, hee.
The good news is my driving skills were great, the nice folks at the hospital did a great job and everything turned out and we had a beautiful baby girl.
We walked down to the nursery later and saw 8 baby boys and one little girl .
Nicole was the only girl so she got special attention even her first few hours, ha,ha. And ever since we have been giving her special attention being out only child. Were so proud of her and she is such a great mom to Terak.
