Brand New John Deere 47inch 2 stage snowblowwer- Last week I called the JD Dealer to ask about a Linior Acuator for the chute control for my 47″ single stage snowblower. They said they did not sell them.
So I priced a brand new jd 47inch 2 stage snowblower and went ahead and ordered it.
Yesterday we drove to Lake City to Voelkers JD Dealer and picked it up.
We do have a JD Dealer in Gaylord but the owner told me never to come back because I bought one of my tractors at another Dealer for $2,200.00 cheaper.
So that is why we drove to Lake City to get it. I figure i am getting too old to be climbing under a 40 year old blower in the middle of a snowstorm . I unloaded it with the Waldon forks and got it mounted last night . I already had the quick hitch assemble so that made it much less expensive. I have a sweeper for that tractor too. I bought both 455 diesel tractors 14 years ago brand new . This one now has a cab and a new snowblower and it only has 175 hours on it. So now I got a perfect little snowblower tractor for my own driveway.
Lineor Actuator – I ended up ordering a Actuator kit from a nice fellow from Bolston , Mass. and should get it tomorrow. JD wanted almost $150.00 for just a manual cable control. For just a few bucks more I am getting the powered version.
Nasty Fall – Yesterday as I was walking around the truck I fell on the ice and landed hard on my elbow, wrist and hip. I am pretty sore today but two Advil last night and two more this morning fixed my sharpest pains. I still walked slow on the treadmill and we still did a short walk outside.
Half scale jd – This afternoon I will pull the mini 4020 out of the shop with the forks and get the Bolens front blade and bring it into the shop for sanding and paint.
Bolens H1704 For Sale – I also want to mount the rear mount 54 inch 2 stage snowblower on the rear of the Bolens .
With a front hydraulic blade and a nice rear blower I am going to try to sell it for $2,500.00 on Craigslist. The engine needs a sleeve in number one cylinder. It only has 900 hours and it is a 2001 . It will make someone a excellent little four wheel drive Diesel Tractor.
I am going to check next week with a local machine shop about a price for boring and inserting a sleeve in the engine block.
