Alpenfest – 90 degrees today and the first full day of Alpenfest for the Alpine Village. Deb and I walked through the street early yesterday morning seeing everyone busy setting everything up for the big week of fun. Walking on the hot pavement in 90 degree temps makes one want to go cool off. So my grandson , Deb and I headed home to the backyard under a shade tree and took turns with the garden hose soaking each other about every 15 minutes. At first the cold water from the hose about gives you a heart attack and then it feels so so good. Terak laughed and giggled everytime he Sprayed Deb and I. He absolutley soaked us and we have not laughed so hard in a very long time. We love that little Terak. He is 2.5 years old now and he seems so old already.
These are those simple things in life people often talk about that last a lifetime.
Nicole and Bill missed all the fun but maybe tomorrow with another 90 degree day they can join us, ha,ha.
