Garden Tractors – Buckley Steam engine and antique tractor show is coming around again south of Traverse City next week. Deb and I will make the drive over and walk through and check everything out. Hopefully this cooler weather will stay around one more week.
I still hope next year at this time I will be able to take my mini tractors maybe to Buckley to display them . I still have work to do on all of them before then. Todays progress picture shows more work done on the jd 45 front loader. You can see the lift arms , the lift cylinders and the metal work I am now doing on the bucket. Several people have built jd narrow front half scale tractors in the past but I have never seen one with a front bucket. So I wanted to make it look unique and it should look like one of a kind when it is done. As i said a couple days ago as soon as the loader is done I will get going on the design on the old fashioned manure spreader to hook up behind it. That will really make this unit a one of a kind look to sell .
It has been a year and a half now I have worked on garden tractors and I have no plans to stop. I am still loving this new phase of my metal working. I have no plans on buying anymore garden tractors as I have projects to build for everyone of them before they are put up for sale next summer. It will be completely new to me to try to sell one of them as I have never sold one before.
Two of my tractors I plan on redoing them completely before they are done. Right now they do not look like I want them to look at all but I have fun driving them around once in a while in the yard.
Have a great Tues.
