IH Combine – Most of you know we have never had a red tractor on our farm but it has been about 40 or so years since we had a green combine. they always felt the red combine did a better job on the beans so they switched over from green to red combine and never switched back. This combine was purchased preowned with very few hours . It came from Iowa and the two day trip was in the middle of a blinding snowstorm. But everything worked out and it has been a good machine .
We spent the last few days down on the farm with my folks again now Nicole and Bill and Terak are back home. It seemed nice to be back down there. My dad is not getting any better but were still making some fun memories with him. My mom is doing good and we are very proud of her for doing such a great job with him. This cooler weather with highs in the low 70s makes it feel almost like fall and feels like harvest time.
This fall I plan on spending quite a bit of time down on the farm for the first time in over 35 years. I want to take a bunch of pictures during harvest. I have wanted to do that for many years but things never quite worked out.
Should be a great fall harvest for me regardless of the yields (:>)
