Workshop Open – It is pretty funny how almost everytime I get out to plow snow something breaks. I can’t imagine how much it would cost to take machines to the repair shop these days. This morning I was using my little hand scoop/shovel and I hit some ice and cracked it.
It put a 4 inch crack in the side and it would have been junk . But I cut a piece of metal , drilled six 1/4 inch holes and bolted it all back together and it’s good as new.
Todays picture shows yesterdays breakdown. I was pushing snow and I felt the positive traction stop working . then I could see the left side of the axle was sliding out from the gearbox. I pulled it in the workshop and pulled the wheels off and the rear inspection plate to look things over.
Looks like it was just the 1/4 in. pin came out and I replaced it and it is working good as new again.
Truck Flat Tire- I have had a slow leak in one of my pickup tires for a while. So yesterday I pulled off the tire and dropped it off at the tire store to get it fixed. So even the truck that is not being used has to have repairs just sitting there, ha,ha.
American Idol- Second night of American Idol was pretty good too.
Clint Eastwood – I been watching You-tube at night about Clint Eastwood movies and behind the scenes and such.Very interesting to hear him talk about making the movies.
But it does take away the coolness of the movies and how he was quite mysterious.
I still love Clint Eastwood movies.
Snow- 112 inches so not doing so well now working towards our 200 inches .
