Bron 550 Drainage Plow Track work Continues and my Sunflower Chisel Plow

Today starts week three of me being back on the internet and social media. Nicole and I are having fun going through all of the old photos and all and getting them organized. Much work still needs to be done on the old articles and blog posts to get them up to date but we’ve still made great progress. We’re going to give it another week and see if all the work is worth it or not! Thank you all for your continued support.

From My Personal Collection, The Sunflower Chisel Plow

I don’t have a very big personal collection because most everything that I build, I sell. However, I did keep a Sunflower Chisel Plow. It is made up of about 200-300 pieces. You can see in the video all the little nuts and bolts, the springs and the discs, the spacers between the discs, and the hydraulic hoses. You can also see the little jack and all the little cleaners for the discs. On the back you can see it has the whole bar for the mud cleaners. I try to put a lot of detail in all of my models to make them more realistic. The Sunflower Chisel Plow is just one of the many tillage models I’ve made over the years.

In terms of other models, I plan to share other ones that I have and even some of them that never got finished for one reason or another. I have a sweet corn harvester and several quad axel lowboy trailers.

Bron 550 Drainage Tile Plow Track Progress

I’ve continued to work on the plow tracks and have about 100 of these little tabs now complete. I first had to cut them to the right length, then bend them, then notch them, then line them up perfectly, clamp them down, one at a time, and tack weld them. They have to be perfectly aligned or they will prevent the chain link from bending and moving properly. I should finish up the next 50 today and then I will move on to the track pads.

With the track pads, I have to cut them to length, put the right bends in them, and then align them so they all fit together. You can see an example of this in the video.

Although all of this is a ton of work altogether, it helps me to just focus on the small part or parts I am working on for the day. It is easy to get overwhelmed when you think of everything that needs to be done for an entire project so if I can stay focused on the work that needs to be done that day, it isn’t quite so overwhelming. Also, because I love what I’m doing, it doesn’t feel like a job.

Thank you to everyone who has been watching my videos. Please remember to subscribe! I have 80 subscribers as of today, which means we’re only 20 away from being able to claim a “YouTube” name. Right now, it’s been hard to easily share because this is the link to my YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCsr_1z3YEhQh0JEQt08FdWQ. From our understanding, once we reach 100 subscribers, we can get a name people can remember! We’ll keep you all posted.
