LeTourneau Monster Loader

LeTourneau Monster Loader

With the Michigan Rubber Tired Dozer almost completed, here is the project I will start to build next Mon. Many of you remember the monster model I built of the LeTourneau L-2350 a couple years ago in 1/12th scale. The one I will build next will be smaller than half that size. It will be a early L-1800 Loader. This picture is one that Darrell sent me from Marquette, Mich. as they were assembling two brand new L-1850’s. Darrell was there for a couple weeks to train new operators. Deb and I hope to go to Longview, Texas someday and see these monsters being built in the assembly plant. It would be very cool to snow plow shopping mall parking lots with one of these, ha,ha. Gaylord weather- Most of the snow has melted from the last two days. It’s cloudy and cold and most of the leaves are on the ground now.
