Me on a Komatsu 575A Super Dozer

Here is another awesome machine that I will make into a awesome all steel , very detailed , big model on my workbench. Ever since I went to this coal mine and got to see TWO of these monster dozers and climb all over them , I was hooked. I look very much forward to building this beauty of a machine. Just looking at this picture I can see a lot of detail I plan on putting in the model. Not only did I get to climb all over them, I also got to see one of them in action. It really was a monster pushing full blades of overburden. Very Cool .
Thanks again John for a AWESOME DAY in the coal mine where you work. The whole time I was building the Real Busyrus-Erie Shovel that you run everyday , the whole time I was building the model , it was great remembering climbing all over that too.
I want to thanks James for help on this upcoming project too. James is another longtime E-mail friend that we have got to know along with his great family as we have traveled to see them and made more great memories . James is responsible for keeping about 130 monster Cat machines on the move in several mines. I had the pleasure of going to work with him for 7 hours on our last visit and it was great. Getting to ride around up the mountains for 7 hours going from sight to sight watching James keep those machines working at their peak was so cool. Just getting to stand by the monsters after something broke and James would diagnose the problem and get on the phone and have the parts on their way from the local Cat Dealership. And off we would go to the next call and help fix the next machine. Seeing the dirt and dusty conditions these machines were working in was amazing they ran at all. Thanks again James.
And I also want to thank another E-mail friend for his help. Kevin Kenny has been a great help to me on several projects . I will post some cool pictures he has sent me in the future as I build new models. Kevin is a Christian and his parents are missionaries. So thanks again Kevin for all your help. Have a nice Sunday with the ones you love.
Deb and I drove to Traverse City on Sat. WE ate at one of our regular eating places and picked up a few things. The stores were getting very busy, but as always when we are together goofing off , we have a fun day together.
This afternoon I got a lead on a NorthWest Dragline like I am going to be making , so we we head out to go see it and take pictures of it. Deb is pretty excited to go see it too, lol.
