Bucyrus-Erie Mining Shovel , Me in the cab

Here is another cool picture Deb took of me on one of our coal mine tour adventures. We took about 100 pictures on each tour and some of them I wanted to post again for the new first time visitors that have started visiting my webpage in the last few months and for some of you that might have missed them before they were deleted the first time I posted them. It was a very cool view in the operators seat of this awesome shovel. We got to climb up to the top of the boom and then we explored everything in the engine room , John was a great tour guide.
I am busy working on the Cat D-9G Dozer this morning , I got the parts for the consoles cut out and the seat and battery box and they should be all welded and bolted in place by tonight. After lunch I will work on the decals for the LeTourneau Loader model. Should get that all done this afternoon and post the pics of it tomorrow. We still got mild temps in Gaylord today with light drizzle and fog. The weatherman is still saying cold air on Fri. with snow back in the forcast. It’s definately time now to get a good snow pack on the ground for the winter tourist season of sking and snowmobiling.
