Cat D-9G- First Progress Picture

This first picture of the D-9-G shows the cowl , throttle lever and steering levers all in place. You can see the foot rests , the pedals and the foot throttle. Then the control panel with levers, the battery box and the seat. To the rear you can see the fuel tank and grab handle. The far side of the seat is the second console with levers and then the hydraulic tank is on the opposite side . Every piece is hand bent and wleded and sanded . Sometimes people ask if the parts are poured in molds , but no parts are built that way. Every model is completely different in sizes and shapes. I am almost done with the front grille and have the first lift cylinder clamped in place where it will be mounted. You can see two curved lines that are connected to the lift cylinder. If all goes well, tomorrow I’ll post the picture of the front grille with the engine cover on it and the two lift cylinders bolted in place. If we get a snowstorm the next couple days, I will probably work in the shop on the first blade parts. If the storm misses us, I’ll wisk Deb off for another fun weekend with her special guy. LOL That would be me, ha,ha.
